Aspirational diving opportunities across a range of holiday destinations near and far will be among topics covered in the Ocean Theatre at the NEC Birmingham Dive Show on 27/28 October.

Other talks in this popular DIVE 2018 feature area will cover pro-diving career opportunities, eco-tourism initiatives, “Protecting Devil Rays Using Virtual Reality”, and “Mission High Water” – Sarah Tingey’s all-female expedition to dive the three highest lakes in England, Scotland and Wales.

Also of note will be the BSAC’s Annual Achievement Awards 2018, taking place on Saturday at 5.30.

The Ocean Theatre presentations will form part of an exciting range of in-hall attractions at DIVE 2018, which will play host to around 200 exhibitors including many of diving’s leading equipment manufacturers and retailers.

In addition to further talks on the DIVER and PhotoZone stages by the likes of Monty Halls, Paul Rose, Doug Allan and Christine Grosart, there will be two in-hall pools dedicated to scuba try-dives and rebreathers.

Elsewhere, visitors will be able to sample the New Products Showcase, TekDeck, Asia-Pacific Showcase, Caribbean Village – and British Isles Experience, with its themed bar and the chance to win a Suunto Eon Steel dive computer worth £849 in the free daily draw

And for those with training as well as travel in mind, experts from the likes of PADI, BSAC, SSI, ,SDI, SAA and IANTD will be offering guiding hands throughout the weekend.

An unmissable free-to-enter draw will also be open to all Show visitors. The prize: a PNG Dive Trip for Two, worth £10,000.

DIVE 2018 opening times are 9.30-6.00 on Saturday 27 October and 9.30-5.00 on Sunday 28 October.

Ticket prices start at just £9.50 per person if booked in advance (a saving of £5 off the on-the-day price of £14.50).
