Adam and Nick join PhotoZone line-up
DIVE 2019 is delighted to welcome inspirational underwater photographers Adam Hanlon and Nick More – along with a host of other new faces – on the PhotoZone stage later this month at the NEC Birmingham event.
Owner of popular underwater imaging community website Wetpixel, Adam has been taking pictures under water for more than 30 years. His macro masterclass, Creating Underwater Images to Admire – and to Motivate, promises both to reflect Adam’s fascination with the life of the oceans, and to highlight the challenges faced.
Concentrating on marine-life portraiture, Nick More is best known for images incorporating motion blur, a dramatic way of bringing pictures to life. Nick will be sharing both macro and wide-angle images from his portfolio that demonstrate the techniques needed to produce award-winning images.
Curated by Saeed Rashid, who will also be giving his own talk, the full PhotoZone Stage line-up can be seen here.
The PhotoZone presentations – in an area of the show offering skills advice and equipment for underwater photographers, plus the chance to help to judge the finalists in the BSoUP 2019 Prints Competition – will form part of an exciting range of in-hall attractions at DIVE 2019.
In addition to further talks on the main DIVER Stage by the likes of Monty Halls, Paul Rose and Christine Grosart, there will be two in-hall pools dedicated to scuba try-dives and rebreathers.
Elsewhere, visitors will be able to sample the New Products Showcase, TekDeck, Ocean Theatre, Asia-Pacific Showcase, Caribbean Village – and British Isles Experience, with the chance to win a Suunto Eon Steel dive computer worth £849 in the free daily draw.

DIVE 2019 will, of course, also provide ample opportunities to expand personal diving horizons through an unrivalled range of dive travel options.
And for those with training in mind, courses from the likes of PADI, SSI, BSAC, SDI/TDI and SAA will be plentiful – offering visitors the means to step up their game, book a speciality, or help someone else get started in scuba!
A further DIVE 2019 highlight will be the free-to-enter draw open to all Show visitors. The prize: an Indonesia Dive Trip for Two, worth £8000.
DIVE 2019 opening times are 9.30-6.00 on Saturday 26 October and 9.30-5.00 on Sunday 27 October.
Ticket prices start at just £9.50 per person if booked in advance (a saving of £5 off the on-the-day price of £14.50).
