Cressi’s new Thor (left) and Thor EBS (right, above) fins are claimed to provide greater thrust for less effort, by combining two different materials to produce rigidity and flexibility where it’s most effective.
Central ribs enable the blade to cup the water and two vents help to stabilise the fin, says the maker. The standard Thor comes with a rubber heel-strap, while the EBS version is equipped with bungee and said to be easy to don and doff even wearing coldwater gloves or thick mitts. Thor fins cost £94, Thor EBS £102.
