Paddlesports – including stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking and canoeing – will be making a splash at this year’s GO Diving Show.
No one will have missed the explosion in popularity of paddlesports, especially SUPs, in the past 24 months, with hard and inflatable versions being a regular sight at coastal locations, and they are perfect for whiling away a surface interval, or keeping non-divers entertained while you are exploring the depths.
Exhibitors from the world of paddlesports are already joining the wide selection of dive-related stands at the event, which is sponsored by Tobago Beyond and runs from 4-6 March (Friday is trade-only, with the Saturday and Sunday being open to everyone).
There will also be a dedicated Paddlesports Stage, and avid kayakers Steve Backshall and Andy Torbet will be taking time out from the Main Stage to talk about their adventures afloat.
The GO Diving Show – which recently merged with The Dive Show (celebrating its 30th anniversary this year) – is being held at the purpose-built exhibition halls at the NAEC Stoneleigh. Located pretty much slap-bang in the middle of the country, with excellent transport links – not to mention 19,000 complimentary car parking spaces – it is the perfect venue for this event.
Weekend tickets are £15, with special group rates available – check out the website to buy tickets and for more information.
