The Northern Underwater Photography Group is holding a Splash-In event for newcomers to u/w photography at the Capernwray inland dive-site in Lancashire on Saturday, 23 September – so non-members are invited to take part.
Entrance is open to anyone who has not previously won an underwater photography contest other than the NUPG’s own monthly competitions. It’s free to take part, although the usual £14 daily entrance fee for Capernwray still applies.
Each competitor can submit one or two images, taken on any type of digital camera.
Registration is from 9am and images have to be submitted between 3.00 and 3.30pm. Judging by public vote starts shortly afterwards, and a trophy will be awarded
Experienced NUPG members will be on hand during the day to provide advice and assistance in editing images, says the group. Whole-image alterations are allowed, but not cropping or spot removal.
