The romance of sail in Indonesia

The liveaboard Emperor Raja Laut (“King of the Sea”), which covers the rich Indonesian waters of Raja Ampat, Komodo and Banda, is a traditional Dutch schooner-style sailing yacht built from tropical hardwood and with only 12 berths.

Tour operator Diverse Travel has started offering a variety of seven- and 12-night itineraries on the liveaboard, with prices for two sharing from £2999pp (for a seven-night package to Raja Ampat).

The price includes all flights, meals and snacks, a cocktail party on a local island and two nights’ half board at Manado Novotel Airport Hotel.
