GearNews – BlueLocar Ray Diver Tracking System

The Ray is a closed GPS-based bi-directional tracking and navigation system with an SOS function.

The device uses independent licence-free radio frequencies and each unit can send and receive data. Depth rated to 100m, the Ray also features an underwater depth-gauge, timer and digital compass, and can transmit surface speed information. Internal USB-chargeable power cells are said to deliver a transmission time of up to 15 hours. The Ray comes in a twin pack priced at 1174 euros.
