Friends of record-breaking diver Ray Woolley, who died last November, have paid tribute to him on what would have been his 100th birthday.
Ray, who was originally from Port Sunlight but lived in Limassol in Cyprus, held the record for being the world's oldest active scuba diver numerous times.
He dived to the Zenobia wreck when he was aged 96 years and three days, and on Saturday 26 August – on what would have been his 100th birthday – 21 friends and fellow divers from Viking Divers, WSBA and ESBA dive clubs dived the immense wreck, placing a plaque in his memory on the hull.
