Diverse Travel is among one of the first specialist tour operators to get a deal in place to get divers back out to the popular resort of Sharm el Sheikh.

Sharm el Sheikh was a staple of the British diving scene until it fell by the wayside as a result of the ban on direct flights into the resort, and the FCO advice advising against travel through the airport.

Now it is back on the map, as reported here, and there has never been a better time to visit. While British divers have been absent, the quieter reefs have seen a resurgence in marine life, with revitalised corals, and sightings of bigger animals ever more frequent. Now is the time to dive the iconic sites of the Sinai Peninsula – reduced diver numbers makes it feel like diving back in the 1990s!

And remember, Sharm el Sheikh isn’t just for the diver – non-divers can also enjoy a wide choice of activities, hotels, shops, bars and restaurants set in a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

To celebrate, Diverse Travel has a ‘Sharmtastic’ offer for 12-19 January 2020, which includes seven nights in a standard room at the Ghazala Beach Resort, direct flights from London to Sharm el Sheikh with 20kg baggage allowance, B&B meal plan, and five days of local reef daybook diving, with guide, 12-litre tank and weights.
