The Annual Nautilus Scuba Club Cairns Photo Contest Winners have been announced
About the Photographic Competition and Exhibition
The competition was open to any current financial member of the Nautilus Scuba Club Cairns and is judged by two independent high profile professional photographers who are not members of the club nor live in Cairns. There are five Open Categories (Maximum of 3 images per category per contestant)
• Wide Angle
• Macro
• Portrait
• Behaviour
• Great Barrier Reef
There are also two portfolio sections where photographers submit 5 images for either:
• SLR / Mirrorless Cameras
• Compact Cameras
Additionally, there is a ‘Members Choice Award’ where club members can vote for their favourite image and a ‘People’s Choice Award’ where the public attending the exhibition can vote for their favourite image and go in a raffle also for a prize.

About The Nautilus Scuba Club Cairns
The Nautilus Scuba Club Cairns, Australia was first established in 1982/83 by a handful of local Cairns scuba divers and was incorporated as a not-for- profit in 1985 with its constitutional goal: “To promote the sport of: “Scuba Diving in Far North Queensland”, a goal that remains unchanged to this day.
The club now has now become one of the largest scuba clubs in Australia with over 300 active members. Our Annual Underwater Photographic Competition and Exhibition which highlights the wonders of the underwater world, averages over 400 entries, attracts world class underwater photographers from all over the globe and some of the biggest names in the scuba diving industry as sponsors. In 2022 over 5,000 people passed through the exhibition.
