Muck divers with an eye for detail may have noticed one of the top resorts in the Lembeh Strait retreated into its burrow at the start of this year… From 2 January to 12 March 2026, Lembeh Resort closed its doors to the public for a process of intensive renovations. Now, they’re back. And better than ever before.

Following two months of intensive construction work (and years of planning), Lembeh Resort has unveiled a range of new facilities and services. There’s a brand-new dive center, which features new and improved personal dive equipment lockers, toilets, warm showers, and changing rooms, conveniently connected to an air gun station, camera room, and photo center. A briefing room, reception area, and gift shop are all conveniently within reach too.
In addition, Lembeh Resort’s Backscatter-Authorized Photo Center has been relocated right next to the camera room, which has been fitted with improved air conditioning and fans to keep sensitive camera equipment cool and protected. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide excellent natural lighting, creating a bright and comfortable workspace.

Each of the latest developments from Lembeh Resort add to their already stellar reputation for diving with a touch of luxury in the Lembeh Strait. Visitors will find the new facilities just as impressive as the critters they came to see.
