Technical CCR, cave, mine and wreck diver Yana Stashkevich will be gracing the Tech Stage at the GO Diving Show twice this year, talking about her involvement in Bernie Chowdhury’s Iceland expedition, and exploring the depths of mines in the UK.
Experienced UK-based technical diver Yana is rapidly making a name for herself when it comes to exploration dives. She has an infectious amount of energy and enthusiasm and is a regular speaker – she is passionate about inspiring people to push their boundaries and pursue their passion, whatever it may be.
She was a member of the Vaggfjellan XI expedition exploring the cave system located beyond the Arctic Circle, with an entrance on a slope of a Norwegian fjord, and a rebreather diver on the Underwater Filming & Research (UFR) project team documenting some of the world’s best-preserved wrecks in Greece.
Currently Yana is involved in a scientific cave diving project in Iceland, filming wrecks in the Bikini Atoll, archaeological caving project in Peru, and continues to explore mines and dive deep wrecks around the world.
Over the past ten years, she has dived in over 35 destinations across three continents, all while balancing a career as a full-time global marketeer.
The GO Diving Show 2026
The Main Stage boasts a smorgasbord of top talent – be inspired by stories from TV faves Steve Backshall and Lizzie Daly, as well as commercial diver Chris Lemons, whose amazing tale of survival in the depths of the North Sea was made into the big-budget movie Last Breath in 2025, and Hollywood stunt performer and freediver Liz Parkinson. Action Man Andy Torbet will, of course, be returning as MC, as well as presenting on the stage.
As well as the Main Stage line-up, the dedicated stages – the UK Stage, the Tech Stage and the Inspiration/Photo Stage – also boast a fantastic array of speakers, ranging from old favourites like tech gurus Paul Toomer and Mark Powell, underwater photographers Lawson Wood and Kirsty Andrews, to new faces such as snorkel pros Emma and Gordon Taylor, the Great Scuba Drive duo Rico Anselmi and Sophie Shields, underwater archaeologist Duncan Ross, extreme freediver Nick Fazah, and tech experts Barry McGill, Ahmed Gabr, and Dominic Robinson.
