Which hangar for wetsuit? The kind that it Hans from like normal or the kind where it hangs up folded over? I got a ho Stevie wetsuit hangar today which is just a very large and wide regular hangar look it up, but I’m wondering if I should have gone the folded over hanging up way.
That’s similar to what I hang my wetsuits on. I’ve never noticed any damage to the suit from hanging it up. If I were to fold it over a hanger I’d use some foam pipe insulation to soften and widen the folded area to avoid creasing.
Chuckles, my drysuit is stored on a hanger. In the winter it hangs on the shower curtain rod in my bathroom, and in the summer, on my balcony; from a hook in floor of the balcony above mine. Why these two places you ask? Because the suit is drying out as I am diving 2-4 times a week.
Now you are just making us jealous!
I never store my drysuit in any room with petroleum products such as gas and oil. Even zipped up in a bag I’ve had it ruin brand new neck seals

I came up with a cheap way to hang them. Get a hanger and a “pool noodle.” Cut along the noodle halfway through the diameter. Make a hole in the noodle and slide the noodle over the hanger. Trim the ends on the noodle so that they go past the hanger and a little way down the arm. You can then hang the suit and it won’t get creases or bumps in the shoulders. Hope I explained that okay.

Stu, that is a great idea – helps bulk out the hanger. I am going to do that to my ‘toweled’ hangers!

Hi Stu. I’ve been doing that for several years now too. Pool noodles (separated loosely with rope) are really useful to stop tanks rolling around in the boot of the car too.
