I’ve been scuba diving my entire professional career in both beautiful crystal clear waters of the Tropics to the not-so clear waters around the world. Diving up in the Arctic Circle and marine conservation work down in remote Madagascar. As a full-time scuba Instructor I taught divers in both warm and cold waters and lead countless dives.

But, my main specialty is dive equipment. Since 2010 I’ve been working with a wide range of scuba diving brands and 8 years working for one of the largest scuba diving retailers with hands-on experience with cutting edge dive equipment.

Do Miflex hoses need to be replaced regularly? One service tech I spoke to said they need to be replaced every 5 yrs. can’t find anything on their website or brochure about it so I wonder if it’s obsolete news related to the rubber failure issue they used to have?

What is this like regarding the nose pocket? I have currently have a Scuba Pro Trinidad, but it presses on the bottom of my nose between my nostrils, so I wondered what this is like comfort wise?

The straps are a great concept but poorly executed. The plastic slider is made from such dinky plastic it breaks just by looking at it wrong. Lasted 5 dives, and I baby my gear.

Interesting. I do NOT baby my gear at all, and I am now over 50 dives in with no issues. Perhaps you had a faulty strap – have you contact FE?

Sadly the skirt is a little small around my eye sockets so it does not fit me.
