Where is your favourite drift dive, or drift diving location?
The cauldron also known as the shotgun in Komodo National park
There are a bunch of epic drifts in Tiran strait, Egypt. My favourite is Shark & Yolanda Reef.
I don’t really agree with what is said about Protea banks and I have dived it enough times.

I did the whale shark dive in Donsol, Philippines in February of last year and it was amazing. To get to the spot where they hang out, we had to do a crazy drift dive where we were flying fast over the ocean floor. If I had to guess, we were doing around 7-8 knots. We then had to clip in with reef hooks on some rocks and wait for them. It didn’t take long to see quite a few of them fairly closeup. Highly recommended for any advanced+ divers.

That dive is Manta Bowl in Ticao Pass, about 2 hrs from Donsol. Current is usually 2-4 knots and does require reef hooks to hold you in place until the fauna pass overhead. Great spot for whale sharks and mantas.
I had the opportunity to Dive the Saltstraumen when I was in Bodø, Norway for work. A couple of truly unbelievable dives!
It is on my to-do list for sure!
Lillebaelt in Denmark is a good spot for drift diving
