#ASKMARK Hello Mark, while out diving recently I talked to an experienced diver who was diving with twins but did not have any manifold on them, i.e. each cylinder had a first stage with a primary and an SPG. One cylinder had the low pressure inflator for his BC. What are the pros and cons of a manifold setup versus independent twins?

Is the poncho useful for dry suit users or not so much?

More so for wetsuit dives. With a drysuit I usually have a small towel for my head and hands and throw my waterproof coat on after a dive. Or just stay in my drysuit if the weather or sea is rough.

One can never have too many drybags and the safety GPS is the GOAT of all gifts!!!

There is no question that wearing your birthday suit beneath your wetsuit is the most comfortable way of wearing it, so a changing poncho is a clever gift for that diver to maintain their modesty with their comfort.

I think dive GPS is probably the nicest gift you can buy someone who dives out to sea. It’s something someone is unlikely to buy for themselves, shows that you really care about them and could literally be a lifesaver. If nothing else, you’ll always be thankful when you have one on you and spare a thought for the person buying it for you :)

The best gift I’ve actually received is a pair of neoprene socks. Really comfy under my dry suit and keeps my feet warm and dry, especially when I’m changing or having to walk through the changing rooms/toilets!

Great video as ever Mark! I think the GPS locator is less of a Christmas gift and more of a ‘must have’ for any open water diver. I never really thought about them until I surfaced after a dive and the boat was nowhere to be seen! The news of the group lost at sea in Indonesia (?) who were adrift for days chilled and horrified me.
As for the best Christmas present, my wife enquired innocently if I was happy with my octo and why was there such a price difference between different sets.
Of course as a scuba nut I waxed lyrical about brand names, quality and reliability…
Come Christmas morning, five hundred quids worth of new Mares Octo!!

A mince pie? I’m surprised they don’t exist in the US.
They’re basically a sweet fruit tart that you only get around Xmas
