I have two of these masks…. They are awesome! Very much fog free,….. but ! Be gentle on the film. Or it is easily scuffed up… easy enough to repair…. With replacement films….. highly recommend
#AskMark Are there any dive computers on the market that will give you navigation back to the boat? It seems like all the dive computer reviews concentrate on the important dive functions but I’d also like to know more about GPS functions. I know Sunnto and Garmin both have navigation features but as I have not been able to get my hands on either of them I was wondering what the capabilities of their navigation functions are. Perhaps a review of dive computers with GPS would be helpful. It would be nice to jump in the water and have that as the dive start point and after diving for awhile it would be able to give me a straight line path back to the dive starting point or to follow my original path back. Does this kind of thing exist or is this just a silly question? Thank you
Because it doesn’t exist. GPS doesn’t work underwater. The products you mention are gimmicks that let you tag your dive site. They do NOT use GPS for (dive)navigation.
What you’re looking for is UWIS, which requires multiple surface buoys & triangulation…. Or either a tethered system that has a wired GPS receiver floating above you on the surface.
Thank you, that makes sense. I was confused by how Garmin markets Navigation with underwater maps. I didn’t see how that would be possible.
Does that spray work on normal single pane masks?
Where can you buy that treatment spray? Asking for a friend who loves his old mask.
You can get the spray from tidal. My masks came with one small bottle
Call me old fashioned but I still work with the oldest known method and my mask rarely fogs up.
All those new features have usually one weak point. The are rarely available for people who need prescription lenses.
Great review! Any idea why more masks don’t come with this feature?
