No aqualung i330R? ☹️
Hi, this is chethan from India, sir I need help to choose between i470tc, d5 , d6 nova dive computers ,I completed my AOW and my hobby is photography like to upgrade my self with best all round dive computer and courses along with That to keep my logs and safety. Here we have aqualung and sunnto dealer and service near by, so suggest me best computer for my journey 😀 pls…
I’ve been diving the D5 for 3 years now and it’s been perfect. Also have the wireless air integration which been perfect. It reads to within 1 bar of my cresi digi 2. Would highly recommend
@Craig Miles sir thx for replying my question, thx u very much and thx for ur suggestion , sir need to know wat is the battery life while diving… my instructor is complaining more about tat and recommending d4 ….
The D5 has just allowed you to do 5 dives a day on a single charge. This is with the screen set to maximum brightness and using the wireless air integration.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the video, but It would have been much more helpful with prices.
Thanks for the overview, really helpful! Btw, do you have a video for us bearded divers regarding best masks or tips on how to avoid water getting into the mask?
How about the apple watch ultra?
It wasn’t available at the time of filming this. We have since tested it though and it stacks up.
Do you have any comments or experience with Ratio computers namely the iX3m? It looks to be very good but I’m struggling to find much more than the official website.
I have one and it is the best value among all others. I have had one myself and my dive friends since 2017 and it is great.
have you seen shearwater nerd?
Yeah, the NERD is a great HUD computer but I’m not a fan of computers attached to a mouthpiece as you loose them if you need to bailout or switch 2nd stages
I have a Cressi cartesio and when I set up my dive plan I am unable to save it any tips for me and also can u give your views on this dive computer
what’s your opinion of the apple watch ultra?
In a month or so estou should revisit this video with the apple watch upltra
No ratio Computer on the list?
Ratio do make lovely dive computers, they’re just harder to get hold of in some countries
Us in the USA do not see much on the Ratio DC… How do they rate?
Aqualung i550c should be on this list. Yes it seems like console computers are a dying breed but there is still a group that prefers them vs wrist mount.
so, execpt the Zoop all of them cost more than €500, some even more than €1000,-. And to call a +€500 computer entry level is ridiculous. If you add the Aqualung i770 you can rename the list to “most expensive Divecomputers”.
It’d have been nice getting an MSRP with each of these as well.
I’ve already got a Perdix though, so I’m kinda covered. And my technical diving will mostly be with a rebreather with its own computer, so I can use the perdix as my backup.
Yeah, we’re looking to include the prices more going forwards
Ummm excuse me Mike. U on the wrong channel. I think u r looking for simply scuba. How dare u betray ur blud
This is a BS list! You didn’t mention the Ratio iX3M 2, the Ratio iDive and the Scubapro G2 Tek. You are so biased, Shearwater cheerleader!
Did you wake up in the wrong side of the bed?
@Burhaneddin Muntasser 💯%!
I have a Ratio iDive Colour, it’s reliable, feature – packed & affordable. it’s a great computer.
Whre is the RATIO Dive computer ?? Mares ? This Top Ten is a bit Doggy !!
YAY! We get to see you again – in a slightly rearranged space, with the same appearance and content. It’s like nothing changed except your employer. I’m just going to assume, and hope it’s true, that this is a good opportunity for you in multiple ways (responsibilities, pay, benefits, travel opportunities, and so on).
Thanks Matthew!
Yeah, sticking with the familiar content to build a foundation and we’ll be working on some new content over the next year to mix things up a bit. Apparently I need to do a 9 day course to film underwater safely…
I have found some cheap dive computers on aliexpress … price is ridiculous 110 USD, looks pretty good, and have almost all functions what you need include compass! :O Of course you should not rely on cheap craps in depth but in fact do you really need to know exactly if you are 23 or 24 meter deep for recreational dives? I did 70 dives and my average depth is around 15m include many deep dives. I guess deco alghoritms are well known and there is no reason to be small inaccuracy fatal. Do you have any experience with it? I have Mares Smart .. good enough for everyone who make few dives per year.

MY BACKUP ONE is the Shearwater Peregrine also very happy
Shearwater Perdix AI : THE BEST
The Garmin’s G1’s screen is apparently hard to read in the sun and underwater, and the materials used are of poor quality. The Mk2s is the better option if you want an everyday smartwatch that can double as a dive computer. It’s not as bulky as the Mk2 or Mk2i and more usable as an everyday watch, and it’s an awesome dive computer with an incredible screen.
I personally have the Shearwater Perdix AI (note, there’s also a non-Air Integrated version available) because I prefer a dedicated dive computer. I do the everyday smart stuff on my phone, and wear a regular watch. The only thing I wish it had is haptic feedback, but that’s coming on the Perdix 2.
Not sure if you are allergic to Mares but the Genius is an excellent colour Computer with AI facility … suited to the spectacle wearing diver like me ( I have lenses in my mask !! ) with its large screen and big buttons 😉
Genius is a very smart computer with a lovely screen. Many good computers didn’t make the list…
Shearwater is still number one. It fits to all kind of divers. Thx for the Video. Great job.
Very important to note that anyone updating from Zoop to Zoop Novo….. The computer won’t fit in any Suunto console. They have a console boot, but it’s not widely available as I have found out.
Thanks for the update I am soon to purchase a new dive computer.👍Great info 👍
Surprised that the i330c isn’t on the list. It had a recall but just to update the software (which you can do at home) but apart from that it’s a great piece of kit for the price
In our dive club we had 6 people buying it and 4 of them had to been replaced. so far. And its not even been a year. 6 months top for most of them
@JonathanVG Wow, may I ask why?
I am looking forward to the upcoming Apeks DSX. From what I know about the hardware so far, it sounds to me like someone has finally listened to what customers want. If the software is good too… Let’s see what PPS has tinkered with.
Whats so great about it?
I landed on the Aqualung i770r (mostly due to having a cracking sale on it!). Very large, full colour screen, AI, USB rechargeable battery that goes on forever (just shy of 50 dives on it and only charged it once when it got to about 50-60%). I don’t use the app so I can’t speak to how effective that is but for the price (especially if you wait for the sales where they include the AI tank pod) it’s a fab allrounder :)
Also just got this. Love it!
Where did you find the sale may I ask?
@JDub It was from Mike’s Dive Store £600 for both inc tax
Same here, I’m super happy with this one too. Compatible with SubSurface which is a great bonus.
