Funny to think about living in a place where you have to worry about the police finding a knife.

I kept my dive knife (3” blunt tip) in my reg bag and packed in a separate checked bag with the rest of my dive gear. After being “flagged” a couple of times, searched and answering stupid questions I no longer bring it when travelling. Instead I bring a pair of blunt tipped medical scissors that work great and won’t puncture my bcd pocket. They’ll cut fishing line and fine netting. I’ve never been stopped since.

Me and my wife put our line cutters and spare blades in our mask containers. We then use tape and write a label saying “BLADES INSIDE” on the container so there are no surprises. Container goes in checked bag. Never had a problem.
