***** THANK YOU FOR WATCHING *****
How many breaths? A little light on the review. Obviously don’t use one.
I train swiftwater rescue and I keep one on the none-rrope throwing shoulder on my pfd in case somebody or myself gets stuck with water washing over our head, or a foot entrapment. At the very least you can save yourself from flush drowning which is the real danger in whitewater. Your out of breath from trying to Eddie out and failing so now you can’t time your breaths and your taking in water. You can use it to get your oxygen back and try for another Eddie. I get made sport of for it in training but I’ve almost flush drowned before which is why I bought it.
No, no, no. This is not a diving product and totally irresponsible aiming this at divers. It was made for helicopter pilots who fly over water and allow them a few extra seconds to get out of a ditched helicopter.
where can I get my spare air cert?
Maybe actually getting in the water and giving it a shot would be beneficial…….then have an opinion, just saying.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems as if you can’t clear the mouthpiece by breathing out through it, so many divers might not be familiar with that, and could potentially lead to extra panic unless they have been trained on it beforehand.
There are also a lot of negative comments about these products in the forums, none of which are even suggested here. I understand that this series of videos is sponsored, but they are sponsored by a store that sells many brands of products, not the manufacturer, so a little more objectivity would be expected from Scuba Diver Magazine as a brand with its own integrity and reputation to safeguard.
How much air is inside?
“Safety equipment”
guys… really?
Does he dive with the spare air? probably not. So why exactly is he advertising this product comfortably, knowing fully well that it’s a gimmick?
