Swiss dive-centre chain Euro-Divers Worldwide has been going for more than 40 years now, and its centres can be found in the Maldives, Egypt, Thailand, Mauritius, Indonesia, Croatia, Japan and Oman.
It also has one on Spain’s Costa Brava, and has just added a second Spanish property – on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.
The centre is in Puerto del Carmen, close to what Euro Divers says is the island’s oldest and most famous hotel, Los Fariones, and to what is now its “own house reef” off the beach.
Euro Divers Lanzarote offers shore- and boat-diving with marine-life ranging, it says, from angel sharks, grouper, turtles, rays and barracuda to seahorses and nudibranchs.
A 12-shore-dive package costs 275 euros, and each two-tank boat trip 59 euros. Nitrox is available.
