If you’re a newcomer to underwater photography and in London on Thursday 27 April, regular Diver contributor and Inon UK co-owner Steve Warren is giving a free three-hour presentation called ‘Why Auto Doesn’t Work and Other Underwater Photography Untruths’.
He says it’s aimed at anyone confused by increasingly complex camera settings – and unsure which ones they should be using under water.
Included will be erroneous assumptions that divers make about underwater photography, why automatic settings yield mediocre images, demystification of camera jargon, lighting theory and how a handful of controls can make the process “easy, successful and rewarding”.
Divers are also invited to bring their laptops with up to 10 pictures for an individual debrief with Warren after the talk, which takes place at KPMG, 15 Canada Square, Canary Wharf from 6pm. Pre-registration is required here
