Werner Lau is offering a 50% discount for the first five safari tours of the less-visited southern Maldivian atolls aboard the small Sheena liveaboard from its new home port of Filitheyo.
This means that the price per person for a week in a double cabin with full board, diving and nitrox works out at 790 euros instead of 1580. The rates are valid for tours departing on 23 and 30 July and 6, 13 and 20 August.
The dive-centre suggests that the north Nilandhe Atoll island of Filitheyo, with its house reef and two wrecks, is ideal for a combination of a resort and a diving safari.
Sheena’s southern Itinerary usually includes routes through Meemu and as far as Felidhoo Atoll.
Over in Indonesia, meanwhile, Werner Lau is planning to attract lone divers at the turn of the year with “Singles Weeks” at both its Siddhartha and Alam Anda Ocean Front resorts.
From the start of December until 15 March, 2018, neither resort will levy a single-room surcharge, so a night’s B&B at the Siddhartha will cost 53 and at the Alam Anda 47 euros.
Both resorts usually charge solo travellers 69 euros a night.
