The US Coastguard has reported that engineers have recovered the remaining debris from the tragic Titan submersible, which imploded during a planned trip to the Titanic shipwreck back in June.

As reported by Scuba Diver at the time, the experimental sub was lost with all five passengers, including OceanGate chief executive Stockton Rush, who was piloting the ill-fated vessel.

A huge search and rescue operation was launched when the sub initially went missing, but it transpired had imploded under the immense pressure of the deep-water dive to the famous shipwreck.

Coastguard officials confirmed that additional parts of the submersible were recovered from the seabed in the Atlantic last week.
