PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Miss Scuba UK 2017 finalist Charley Williams is set to walk 3km in full scuba gear through her home town of Chichester this Saturday (16 September).

The walk is a fund-raiser for the charities Deptherapy, Project Aware and the Motor Neurone Disease Association, all of which are supported by Miss Scuba UK, as well as Shark Guardian, for which Williams is a Pro Ambassador.

“Aside from the physical challenge of walking a great distance in scuba equipment, I anticipate that the walk will bring a considerable amount of attention from the public,“ she says.

“It’s a brilliant and fun opportunity to talk about the charities involved, spread awareness about conservation issues worldwide and encourage more people to try diving.”

Currently working for a photography company on the South Coast, Williams has previously lived and worked as a diving instructor in Thailand.

After her walk she plans to spend the whole of Saturday in Chichester city-centre talking to the public about her charities and scuba-diving.

Donations are to be split equally between the four charities, and can be made through Williams’ crowdfunding page
