Just days after launching its new Argonaut drysuit, Fourth Element has announced the arrival of a “ground-breaking” mask that offers “an unparalleled field of vision and a universal fit for divers of all levels”.
The Seeker mask’s single-lens design offers such an expansive field of vision that “it comes close to the feeling of not wearing a mask at all”, claims the manufacturer, while new facial geometry and a soft silicone skirt are said to enable the product to mould to the contours of any diver’s face for a leak-free seal.
The Seeker has a low volume intended to approximate the natural field of vision while simplifying equalisation and mask-clearing, particularly useful for novice divers. The frames come in black, grey or blue, with a choice of Clarity or Contrast lenses.
The volume might be low but the price is less so for a mask – it’s £130. Fourth Element also produces the customisable Scout, Navigator and Aquanaut Freediving mask ranges. The Seeker is available through the manufacturer’s dealers and its website.
