PADI Women’s Dive Day 2023 with Meridian Adventure Dive
The staff ladies, and female guests had a blast at this year’s PADI Women’s Dive Day 2023. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with snorkelling and ended with a beach clean-up.
The women headed to Saonek Monde Island after the dive boat was prepped with snorkelling equipment, freshly cut watermelon, chef’s famous cookies and trash bags. First, the ladies explored the incredible underwater coral reefs around Saonek Monde.
The entire island’s coast can be snorkelled in about 1 hour. They were fortunate to see a whole school of bumphead parrotfish, trumpetfish, schools of fusiliers and snappers as well the colourful hard and soft corals. This island offers a great snorkelling spot as the reef starts around 3m until 11m.
Surface interval was spent on the white sands of Saonek Monde beach with cookies, tea, coffee and ice-cold watermelon. After the break, the ladies jumped straight into cleaning up the beach. Saonek Monde beach sees a lot of tourist traffic between dives, which unfortunately means some trash. In an hour, these ladies filled more than six bags with trash.
