I have actually seen people with a badly wound spool having it jam and instead of simply releasing their grip holding on to it and heading skyward, so it is not just reels.
We plan a more in-depth video on launching DSMBs with underwater video when we can get to a suitable location to shoot and we will be sure to stress that then.
