Whilst hosting the recent Divers Alert Network (DAN) Continued Medical Education (CME) conference for diving doctors from around the world, the team at Volivoli Beach Resort in Fiji also took the opportunity to introduce six local Fijian hyperbaric doctors, Drs. Akuila, Shivankar, Asena, Shane, Sitiveni and Maurice to the wonders of the underwater world.

Simon, the General Manager at Volivoli, said, “Building strong and safe communities throughout Fiji is everyone’s responsibility. We believe community knowledge sharing is not only vital to growth, development, and understanding, but it is also a key component of our culture. Networking and knowledge sharing make all of us stronger, wiser and safer! Knowledge sharing at the highest level leads to understanding at the highest level!

To emphasise this point, the Ra Divers team at Volivoli also recently partnered with the Fiji Police Force to train some of its key officers. Sgt. Netava, along with Constables Viliame, Pita, and Alipate, completed their open-water course. Under the expert guidance of their instructors, they successfully completed all course components with confidence and competence. They are now certified autonomous divers—ready to build on their already impressive skill sets and step into an exciting new chapter.
Congratulations, everyone, and welcome to our aquatic world
