P16 NUPG 1

NUPG are holding a special Splash-In event for newcomers to underwater photography on Saturday 23 September at Capernwray in Lancashire.

From the picture you can see, you do NOT need any sort of posh underwater camera to learn the basics of taking a picture underwater!

The aim of the NUPG is to get those people who upon returning from a diving trip are disappointed with their underwater photos, or have never thought their photos are good enough to enter competitions, to think again and just see what you can do with your current underwater camera set-up.

Entrance is open to anyone who has not yet won or entered an underwater photography contest (excluding the NUPG monthly competition). There is no entry fee into the competition, and you do not have to be a member of NUPG to enter. The usual entrance charge for Capernwray will still apply.

To enter please tell us that you will be coming either through the event post on the NUPG Facebook page or by emailing: info@nupg.org.uk

Yo-Han Cha (NUPG Chairman) will be in the car park, with an NUPG sign displayed at his car, ready to take registrations from 9am at Capernwray.

Experienced members of NUPG, including Yo-Han Cha, Elaine White, and Caroline and Nick Robertson-Brown will all be on hand over the course of the day to provide advice in taking your photographs and offering assistance in editing your images. To keep things fair, editing will be permitted but only whole image alterations, no cropping or spot removal will be allowed.

Frogfish Photography have kindly sponsored a trophy. For further information email: info@nupg.org.uk
