Tyron Periera
In January 2024, Tyron Periera made a splash into the diving world. He had always been a keen ocean lover and an avid snorkeller, believing you can see everything underwater from the surface, providing the same experience. This changed when divers were gliding underneath him on holiday at Heron Island. He was snorkelling and became curious about what diving had to offer. Shortly after this, Tyron booked his Open Water course.
From this day forward, Tyron has become increasingly interested in diving, underwater photography and the marine world. He has built an incredible diving community of his family and friends, who are also interested in the sport. The easiest way to spot Tyron underwater is behind his camera, where he aims to capture the beauty of the underwater through his photography.
Capturing the Ocean
Tyron’s photography was inspired by his grandpa, who gave him his first camera when he was ten. He’s since built an underwater camera rig and shares his photos via social media (@tyronphotos). He aims to grow a following and inspire others to care for and appreciate the ocean while connecting with like-minded individuals in the dive industry.
Tyron believes diving is an amazing way to add value to your current lifestyle by ‘building confidence, patience, adaptability, and responsibility’, which are all critical skills for youth to develop. Tyron is making waves within the dive industry and is one to watch. His passion for the sport and photography is boundless, and his photos get better and better every single dive.
Future Horizons
Tyron aims to continue diving and photography and looks forward to the day he dives with a tiger shark, weedy sea dragon, and whale shark. He is completely hooked on diving and already inspires those around him by sharing incredible photos throughout his diving journey!
