Swiss watchmaker Omega has added a new range of diving watches to its Planet Ocean 600m range.
For the first time in a diver’s watch, it says, the four new Deep Black models have a case, face and bezel built entirely from ceramics.
The bezels use Liquidmetal (or Omega Ceragold in the Sedna Gold model) to create the diving scale. The 45mm watches have Master Chronometer 8906 automatic movements, anti-bacterial rubber straps with ceramised titanium foldover clasps, screw-down crown and an automatic helium escape-valve, and are depth-rated to 600m. The Deep Black watches are priced at £7900 and the Sedna gold at £10,600.
