Emperor: new centre, new boat
Underlining its commitment to the Maldives, Emperor Divers has opened a second dive-centre there, at the new 5* You & Me Resort in Raa Atoll, which lies north-west of the capital Male.
You & Me is an adults-only resort that was due to open at the start of February. It takes 20 minutes by speedboat from Ifuru domestic airport or a 45-minute seaplane ride from Male. Emperor, which is also managing the watersports centre there, says divers can enjoy channel, thila and wall diving for all levels there.

The operator’s existing centre is located on the populated island of Gan in Laamu Atoll in the far south of the Maldives.
It also operates five Maldives liveaboards, with a sixth from August in the shape of its new flagship, the 42m Emperor Explorer.
The vessel takes 26 guests in 13 air-conditioned cabins and includes a spa and diving dhoni. It will operate 7-day seasonal itineraries with longer 10-day trips for more distant locations.
Up to four dives a day are offered, along with free nitrox and wine with dinner. Prices start from £1759.
