Paul Toomer began his long-established diving career with PADI, and now, after decades at the forefront of tech diving and training, and stints with two other training agencies (one of which he co-owned), he has joined PADI as their Global Tec Diving Consultant.
The force of nature that is PVT, as many know him in the industry, commented: “Anyone who knows me knows how much I love life, and also how lucky I have been in my career as a diving professional. I have had successful dive centres, amazing mentors, and I have been lucky enough to work for two amazing agencies, one of which I co-owned.
“It’s been an amazing ride, and I have been surrounded by the best, and kindest, wonderful people.”
He continued: “I began my career at PADI, and it seems so serendipitous that I am now right back to where I started. I cannot wait to start working with the amazing team at PADI delivering state of the art technical materials for open and closed circuit, overhead and beyond.”
Ever humble, Paul added: “While this opportunity is perfect for me, I would also like to thank all the agencies that spoke to me about joining them – I have been overwhelmed with kindness. And I will always cherish the memories I have of the great people across the entire planet that I have had the opportunity to work with. You all know who you are and how special you will always be to me.”
