I’ve got an #AskMark question if I may, I recently bought a m2m drysuit, and it comes with the KUBI system, the question I have is how do I go about equalizing the gloves as I haven’t been told? Could you do a demo possibly or an explanation video on how to do it?

#askmark Hi Mark, i have recently moved from a standard BCD to backplate and wing, however i am finding it a bit of a faff when used in conjunction with my weight belt. if the weights are too far back, the backplate doesn’t sit flush on my back, and too far forwards and its uncomfortable on the hips etc. any advice/tips to make it more comfortable/efficient? ta, Lee

#askmark Hi Mark. Im a OW diver with 30 dives under my belt. I recently bought the garmin decent mk2i. How can i set up the conservatism in single gas mode? Is it low, medium or high?

I’d leave it as it’s set from the factory which will probably be Medium. If you feel like you have a higher chance of decompression illness due to cold water, high workload, poor health, then I would increase it to High. Before that it’s a good idea if you read up on Gradient Factors and how they can change your dive profile, it will help you better understand what these conservatism settings mean.

if you wear prescription glasses you can get your mask lenses removed and prescription lenses put in for a reasonable cost. my wife did this and thought it was great
Some dive masks can have their lenses removed and replaced by a prescription lens. But, there are companies that can bond a prescription lens to your existing glass lens. It can get expensive but it is the best option if you have a ‘complex’ prescription.
There is an insert you can put in mask. Like a glasses in the mask.

#askmark so i bought a Scout mask, & dry snorkel, but the snorkel doesn’t fit on the mask strap, both made by fourth element…..im confused!

KUBI infect doesn’t come with the silicone tubing, or the under gloves for that matter ( Atleast in my experience! ) the video was exactly what I thought and had in my head.

#askmark can you please explain wave “swell period” as it relates to shore diving. I dive a lot in Laguna Beach, CA
My advice for the dive master course: do as many try dives as you can. You probably know all you need to know about diving by now, but it’s really good to learn how to handle absolute beginners.
#askmark Mark, would you by a Perdix AI or the new Perdix 2? I know with the software upgrade you can add more transmitters to the Perdix AI. Thoughts?
