Such timing. I just learned today how to service my own regs and 1st stages and I finally understand the parts you’re showing us.
#askmark i’m a breather with over 300 dives, i’m fine until i go deeper ie below 60′. i’ve used the same regulator since starting diving 6yrs ago. would a different brand of regulator make a difference. not all dive sites have 100s and i’d like to use 80s. i’m surprised there is no course that teaches you how to breathe
Yoga and a freediving course are probably your best choice.
Yoga isn’t just about bending yourself into odd shapes, it’s foundation is about your breathing that can help you breathe more efficiently. And freediving also focuses a lot on your breathing which can benefit your scuba diving.
@Scuba Diver Magazine i do hot yoga and regular yoga once a week. i always find it interesting people mention yoga. you’re supposed to breathe thru your nose
Thanks for that. I learnt something. I do have mine closed unless im breathing out of it. My Octo has one too and that remains closed and open on + if i or a buddy needs it.
Great video mark, very informative. I knew about that Venturi affect and have explained it to students that have asked about the Venturi switch.
Thoroughly interesting video that’s taught me better ways to explain it. Thankyou for this!
